PLAN

1. History of the emergence of the GTO complex.

3.Structure of the GTO complex.

5. Conclusion.

1. History of the emergence of the GTO complex.

The GTO Complex was first introduced back in the Soviet period of our country.

On behalf of the All-Union Council of Physical Culture under the Central Executive Committee of the USSR, a draft GTO complex was developed, which on March 11, 1931, after public discussion, was approved and became the normative basis of the physical education system for the entire country.

The goal of the introduced complex is “to further increase the level of physical education and mobilization readiness of the Soviet people, primarily the younger generation...”. The main content of the GTO complex was focused on high-quality physical training of hundreds of millions of Soviet people.

Initially, men no younger than 18 years old and women no younger than 17 years old were initially allowed to take the test to receive the “Ready for Labor and Defense” badge. A special condition was a satisfactory state of health. It was determined by a doctor who determined that compliance with the standards for this complex would not cause harm to human health.

Men:

Women:

Those who successfully completed the tests and were awarded the GTO badge had a preference for admission to a special educational institution in physical education and a preferential right to participate in sports competitions and physical education festivals of the republican, all-Union and international scale.

Large-scale competitions for the title of Champions of the GTO complex in its individual types were not inferior in popularity to the Spartakiads and the central football matches of the season. Wearing the TRP badge has become prestigious.

TRP badges (the first versions) were made of copper or brass and coated with hot enamels (cloison), later mass production of aluminum badges coated with liquid (cold) enamels began. The fastening for the TRP badges was a screw or a safety pin.

GTO BADGES 1931-1936 (I AND II STAGE)

During the existence of the complex, its regulatory part was changed more than once. The largest changes were made in 1940, 1947, 1955, 1965 and 1972.

A new GTO complex introduced in 1972(approved by Resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR on January 17, 1972 No. 61) made it possible to improve mass physical culture and sports work in each team, in a sports club and throughout the country, and to solve a number of important issues related to improving the health of Soviet citizens. The age range of the complex has expanded: levels have been added for schoolchildren aged 10–13 years and workers aged 40–60 years. Now the complex had V age levels and covered the population aged 10 to 60 years. Each stage of the 1972 GTO complex consisted of two sections:

  • studying the basic provisions of the Soviet system of physical education, mastering practical skills of personal and public hygiene, rules and techniques for protecting against weapons of mass destruction, performing morning exercises;
  • exercises that determine the level of development of a person’s physical qualities - strength, endurance, speed, agility, as well as exercises that contribute to the mastery of applied motor skills - running for speed and endurance, strength exercises, jumping, cross-country skiing, swimming and others.

Each stage had the following characteristic features:

  • I stage - “Brave and Agile” was introduced for schoolchildren aged 10-13 years with the aim of forming in children a conscious attitude towards physical education, developing basic physical qualities and vital skills, identifying sports interests. Stage I was divided into two age groups: boys and girls 10-11 and 12-13 years old. The complex consists of 7 mandatory tests and 6 optional ones.
  • II stage - “Sports Shift” is intended for teenagers 14-15 years old, with the goal of increasing the physical fitness of teenagers and mastering their applied and motor skills. The complex consisted of 9 tests.
  • III stage - “Strength and Courage” are standards for boys and girls aged 16-18, with the aim of improving the physical fitness of young people necessary for subsequent work and readiness for service in the Armed Forces. The complex consisted of 10 trials.
  • IV stage - “Physical perfection” is intended for men 19-39 years old and women 19-34 years old, with the goal of achieving a high level of physical development and physical fitness for highly productive work and fulfilling the sacred duty of protecting the Motherland. Stage IV is divided into two age groups: men 19-28 and 29-39 years old, women 19-28 and 29-34 years old. The complex consisted of 10 trials.
  • V stage - “Vigor and Health” is intended for men 40-60 years old and women 35-55 years old, with the goal of maintaining good health and a high level of physical fitness of workers for many years to ensure their labor activity and constant readiness to defend the Motherland.

To constantly stimulate the population to engage in physical education and sports, standards of several levels of complexity have been established for each level.

When fulfilling the standards of the RLD Complex, participants were awarded silver and gold insignia; for the 5th level only a gold badge was provided, and for the 4th, in addition, a gold badge with honors.

The GTO system was a powerful incentive for sports. Preparation for meeting the standards developed all muscle groups, increased endurance, coordination, and the ability to calculate one’s strength and potential.

In 1973, under the Sports Committee of the USSR, an All-Union Council was created to work on the most massive involvement of citizens in the implementation of the GTO complex. USSR pilot-cosmonaut Alexei Arkhipovich Leonov was appointed Chairman of the Council.

To monitor the progress of the implementation of the new complex, the All-Union Inspectorate for the GTO complex was created. This is a public body that promptly warns sports and other organizations about noticed shortcomings in their work, and increases the responsibility of each physical education worker for the assigned work.

Inspections and inspection groups carried out spot checks not only on the acceptance of tests, but also on the GTO badges themselves, monitored the quality of training of public instructors, the organization of training, the construction and equipment of GTO camps, the use of sports facilities, the state of visual agitation and propaganda.

The standards of the GTO complex became a tool thanks to which every citizen could check the level of their physical development

The “GTO Excellence” badge was awarded to those who fulfilled the standards for the gold badge of the IV stage of the 1972 “Physical Excellence” complex and had one 1st or two 2nd sports categories in any sport.

The “TRP Badge of Honor” was awarded to those who met the standards for several years in a row.

Physical education teams of enterprises, institutions, and organizations that have achieved particular success in introducing the GTO complex into the daily lives of workers were awarded the badge “For success in working on the GTO complex.”

BADGE “EXCELLENT ACHIEVEMENT OF THE GTO” BADGE OF HONOR, BADGE “FOR SUCCESS IN WORK ON THE GTO COMPLEX”

The collapse of the Soviet Union led to a larger gap in efforts to educate citizens about physical activity. Legally, the GTO Complex was not abolished, but in fact it ceased to exist in 1991.

2. Revival of the GTO complex.

2007 can safely be called the year of sports, when Russia gets the right to the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, our football players made it to the European championship, basketball players became the best team in the Old World, tennis players won the Federation Cup, handball players won the title of the strongest in the world, and, finally, President Vladimir Putin signed a new law on sports.

On a wave of enthusiasm from sporting victories, in accordance with new trends, discussions about the revival of the GTO complex were again raised by the sports community.

The result of painstaking preparation was the publication of Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated March 24, 2014 No. 172 “On the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (GTO)”, decreeing the commissioning of the complex from September 1, 2014.

The updated standards came into force on January 1, 2018 and will be valid for 4 years.

In this regard, the reporting period for fulfilling the GTO standards for students (age levels 1-6) has changed. In 2017-2018 it is divided into 2 parts:

July 1 – December 31, 2017. – the reporting period during which the test results are valid according to the standards in force in 2017;

January 1 – July 1, 2018– the reporting period during which the new TRP standards will be valid.

For the adult population (age levels 6-11), the reporting period will remain unchanged from January 1 to December 31, 2018.

So, Today the GTO complex is being revived, transformed in a new form and new conditions. The implementation of the complex pursues the following goals and objectives:

  • increasing the efficiency of using the capabilities of physical culture and sports in promoting health, harmonious and comprehensive development of the individual, nurturing patriotism and ensuring continuity in the implementation of physical education of the population;
  • increasing the number of citizens systematically involved in physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation;
  • increasing the level of physical fitness and life expectancy of citizens of the Russian Federation;
  • formation among the population of conscious needs for systematic physical education and sports, physical self-improvement and maintaining a healthy lifestyle;
  • increasing the general level of knowledge of the population about the means, methods and forms of organizing independent studies, including using modern information technologies;
  • modernization of the physical education system and the system of development of mass, children's and youth, school and student sports in educational organizations, including by increasing the number of sports clubs.

The All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex provides for preparation for implementation and direct implementation by various age groups (from 6 to 70 years and older) of the population of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as age groups) of the established standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex for 3 levels of difficulty, corresponding to gold, silver and bronze insignia of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex and is based on the following principles:

  • voluntariness and accessibility;
  • health-improving and personality-oriented orientation;
  • mandatory medical control;
  • taking into account regional characteristics and national traditions

The All-Russian physical culture and sports complex consists of the following main sections:

  • types of tests (tests) that allow us to determine the level of development of physical qualities and applied motor skills (divided into mandatory tests (tests) and optional tests) and standards that allow us to assess the versatility (harmony) of the development of basic physical qualities and applied motor skills in accordance with the gender and age characteristics of human development
  • requirements for assessing the level of knowledge and skills in the field of physical culture and sports;
  • recommendations for a weekly motor regimen (provide for the minimum volume of various types of motor activity necessary for independent preparation for performing types of tests (tests) and standards, development of physical qualities, preservation and promotion of health).

3.Structure of the GTO complex.

The normative testing part of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (GTO) provides for state requirements for the level of physical fitness of the population based on compliance with established standards and assessment of the level of knowledge and skills, and consists of three main sections:
a) types of tests (tests) and standards;

What's happened weekly motor pattern of a schoolchild? This is daily work to create your healthy body, which should include the following aspects: daily morning exercises (exercises); classes in educational institutions; physical activity during the school day (the presence of physical education minutes), especially in elementary school; classes in sections and clubs of a sports nature; active physical training in an independent mode (child’s play activities - yard football, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, swimming); The implementation of this type of activity largely depends on the participation of the child’s parents in it.

Students of various health groups are allowed to take the GTO standards in schools, but subject to the mandatory fulfillment of certain conditions. The student must attend physical education classes regularly. The child must participate in sports sections that correspond to his health group. Students who have the appropriate medical permission are allowed to take the GTO test. A child in poor health will not be exposed to physical activity.

The GTO complex in schools consists of the first five steps, which were listed above. When children leave school, they must undergo tests of speed, flexibility, endurance and strength.

WHY DO GTO IN THE 21ST CENTURY?

The answer to this question may be different for each young person. Someone wants to compare themselves with older family members who have the Soviet GTO sign. Someone wants to try to achieve a specific result and test their willpower and perseverance. And some are simply used to being first in studies and sports. All people are different. However, everyone who voluntarily decided to undergo the GTO test has one thing in common - determination. It is this trait that is most important for people of the 21st century. Only purposeful and physically prepared people will be able to achieve success in modern conditions.

The return of the GTO to Russia is in demand by time and social factors. It was received positively by the majority of Russians. The health of the people is priceless, and its foundation is laid, among other things, by such nationwide events.

In addition, if you confirm the standards over several years, you can count on the gratitude of the President in the form of a special insignia.

The presence of insignia of the GTO complex (in accordance with Order of the Ministry of Education of Russia No. 1147) for applicants to study in educational programs of higher education will be taken into account by educational organizations of higher education during admission. Students who have the golden insignia of the GTO complex may be awarded an increased state academic scholarship in accordance with the established procedure.

5. Conclusion.

Working on an individual final project helped me in the formation of regulatory, cognitive and communicative UUD.

Having studied and researched the GTO complex, I came to the following conclusion:

  1. The introduction of GTO in schools is a necessary process for developing a child’s personality. This helps him develop such human qualities as endurance, the desire to work on himself, the desire to be healthy and raise a healthy generation.
  2. In addition, this complex contributes to the development of not only the physical functions of the body, but also the mental ones. For children who spend a lot of time outdoors, the possibility of developing a syndrome called “oxygen starvation” is excluded.
  3. The GTO is not just about receiving a badge of distinction; it is, first of all, about improving oneself, one’s inner “I”. By preparing themselves to fulfill the test standards of the complex, coordination is honed, schoolchildren become more purposeful, morally and physically toughened.

The GTO insignia is an indicator of the active life position of a citizen of the Russian Federation, his desire for a healthy lifestyle.

Working on the project allowed me to do something useful for the school (in particular, for the students of our school who are going to undergo tests of the GTO complex), since in the futuremy project productcan be used astutorial onphysical culture.

The social movement experienced its real peak of popularity in the 50s, when the GTO sign sparkled brightly on the chest of every fourth Soviet boy and girl. To achieve this success, it was necessary to pass the GTO standards, which were quite complex. The historical era has changed, and the public sports movement remains a thing of the past. And only many years later it was brought back to life again, this happened in 2013, and from the next year the system was tested in several regions at once.

GTO levels for schoolchildren:

Today, almost anyone can become a participant in the great sports movement. To do this, you need to pass the GTO standards; this can be done at different ages: from 6 years to 70 and older. It is clear that each age group has its own tests, which are focused on the characteristics of the body. Conventionally, they can be divided into three groups. The TRP standards in the table of standards show the tests that participants are required to pass.

Standards on the GTO website

In fact, the organizers have developed a whole complex that includes five steps for schoolchildren.

From the sixth stage, GTO standards for adults begin, which in turn are classified by gender - for men and women.

Advantages of the GTO program

Participation in the public sports movement is completely voluntary, but the ranks of its participants are growing every year. There are many reasons for this. For example, for many representatives of the new generation it is important to maintain the continuity of the generation, to become another member of the family dynasty, having the golden TRP sign. Other participants want to prove to themselves and others that they are strong, brave, and dexterous. Still others dream of entering a prestigious institute, and the golden GTO sign gives additional points. Whatever the reasons for participating in a big sports project, the main thing is that the participant carefully weighs his sports capabilities. This will allow him to improve the skills required by the standards. By the way, the GTO standards in the table of standards are presented in an accessible form. Thus, the GTO standards by age will show in an accessible form what children and adults can do to achieve success.

The table for men, for example, looks like this:

Stage 7 - for men 30-39 years old - First page

The GTO standards for 2017 show the types of standards, as well as the results that are relevant for passing for a gold, silver or bronze badge.

TRP badges

Thanks to this arrangement of values, you can not only learn about the TRP standards by age, but also compare them with each other. Experts, coaches, doctors and specialists approached the development of each sports discipline with special care. At the same time, preliminary tests were carried out, taking into account the physiological characteristics of participants of different ages. The result of this extensive work was the creation of a table of norms.

Changes in 2017

The GTO system offers 11 levels, five of which are for schoolchildren, six for adults. Each of them has its own GTO standards. For example, first-level schoolchildren take both traditional sports disciplines, such as pull-ups or sprinting, and those specially designed for this category of participants: shuttle running, bending forward from a standing position. There are mandatory tests, as well as optional ones. The table presented on the website indicates how many tests are required to complete in order to receive the highest TRP mark. And such standards for all ages are presented in the table in full. Comparing them, you can see that the standards are quite accessible. Experts give recommendations for preparing for the GTO test. It is necessary to indicate how much time is required to spend in physical education and outdoor games, if we are talking about the youngest members of the public sports movement.

Perhaps the most difficult GTO standards are those offered for men of the sixth stage. This category includes representatives of the stronger half, whose age is conventionally divided into those who are from 18 to 24, and also from 25 to 29 years old. At the same time, some tests can be replaced by others, for example, a hanging pull-up at the request of the participant with a kettlebell snatch. Optional tests include skiing or 5 km cross-country, swimming, air rifle shooting and others.

How to prepare for passing the standards?

The official website of the public sports movement TRP provides complete information on how to correctly pass the TRP standards and how to prepare for this process. There is a special "How to" section that tells you how to properly ace the tests. The text version indicates under what conditions the task should be performed, what its features are, what the apparatus that is involved in the test is, if, for example, we are talking about throwing a tennis ball or other object. What items can be used in the GTO test can be found in the table of standards.

If the text version does not seem entirely clear or complete to the TRP participant, you can refer to the video on the website. It explains and shows in detail what the rules for taking the test are. In some sports, it is the video that makes it possible to understand how to fulfill the standards. For example, swimming or lifting your body from a supine position. Of course, the TRP standards for age do not provide for all types of tests presented in the stories on the site. And if some tests are repeated at different levels, then an explanation must be given as to which age group this or that test should be assigned to. For example, mixed movement is stipulated by age - 65-70 years. By carefully studying all the features of test tasks, you can understand how to perform them correctly.

Changes in regulations

The latest GTO standards in the Soviet Union were developed in 1972, and they were taken as the basis for the 2017 GTO standards. But at the same time they have been seriously modified taking into account modern realities. For example, in Soviet times, schoolchildren starting at the age of 10 could receive the GTO sign, but today the youngest members of the sports social movement are six-year-old boys and girls. As for the tests, they too have undergone changes. Thus, such names of sports disciplines as cycling, climbing a rope with the help of legs, and 30 m running have disappeared from the modern program. A modern teenager has a much larger choice of disciplines.

Mandatory and alternative tests

Some events have moved from the category of compulsory to the category of additional ones, we are talking about the running long jump, where a Soviet schoolchild had to achieve a result of 340 cm for the golden badge, while his contemporary today can limit himself to 290 cm.

Some types of sports disciplines remained unchanged. Boys are asked to do 5 pull-ups for a gold badge, and 3 for a silver badge.

Pull-up

The requirements for cross-country skiing over a distance of 1 km have become more stringent. If earlier gold required 7.30 minutes, today it takes 6.45 minutes.

Cross-country skiing

And this picture is typical for the GTO standards for all ages in the table. By the way, in the Soviet version there were only 5 steps, the last of which was called “Vigor and Health”, it was intended for men from 40 to 60 years old and women from 35 to 55 years old. The exercises are quite gentle, and most modern people in this category can cope with them without difficulty. For many disciplines there is no concept of time, the main thing is to pass. The list includes running 60 m, cross-country – 300 and 800 m. For the standing long jump, it was enough for men to show a result of 190 cm, for women – 150 cm. Today, even older people can easily cope with these tasks after appropriate training.

Where to take sports disciplines?

To join the ranks of the large public movement “Ready for Labor and Defense,” you should contact a test center, which is located in every region. You can take an easier route: first register on the portal. To do this, you need to go through a simple registration by clicking on the appropriate section, which is located in the upper right corner of the main page. Here it is important to correctly write down your email address and initial data, as well as remember your password. After this, a letter will be sent to the specified address, following the link of which you should go to the portal.

Registration opens up new opportunities for the user. Including, find out the GTO standards, which are determined by the level of the participant. And also here in a special section of your personal account there is information about the location of test centers. This information appears both in text form, indicating the locality, address and name of the institution, and in cartographic form. The latter is interesting because it allows you to quickly navigate the area and easily find a gym without outside help. At the center you must present a passport and a medical certificate, which indicates the health of the TRP participant.

Other information is also reflected in your personal account. For example, about which sports disciplines have already been passed and recorded in the participant’s passport. The photo presented in the user's account will be used in the organization member's passport. On the main page of the portal after logging in, the unique identification number of the participant, his last name, middle name and photo must be displayed. If desired, the user can always change personal data, for example, location, which will allow him to quickly find out where the testing centers are located and continue passing the GTO standards.

How many times can I receive the GTO insignia?

The TRP insignia is valid within the age level, after which it must be reconfirmed.

The insignia is issued after successful completion of the required number of types of tests within the age level. Submissions for awarding insignia are organized based on the results of each calendar quarter by the testing center, after which an order is sent from the regional executive body in the field of physical culture and sports.

How many days can you meet the GTO standards within one age level?

It is possible to fulfill the GTO standards within one age level within 1 year. For the adult population, this is a calendar year, i.e. from January 1 to December 31, for applicants the educational period is from July 1 to June 30.

IMPORTANT! If during the year there is a transition from one stage to another, then the results of previously met standards are not taken into account in the new stage. In this case, in order to receive the insignia of the GTO complex, it is necessary to complete the required number of tests either before moving to a new level or after.

According to the methodological recommendations published on the website GTO.ru, it is possible to perform three or four types of tests in one day. Remember that, first of all, you yourself must be interested in successfully completing the tests in order to show the best result.

Accordingly, when drawing up an individual map of participation in the GTO complex, it is important to competently approach the issue of distributing the load on your body.

I want to fulfill all the standards of the GTO complex in one day, is this possible?

It is impossible to fulfill all the standards of the GTO complex in one day. You must understand that you only have one attempt to complete one standard.

You must prepare for testing the GTO complex on an individual basis and come to the testing center only when you are completely confident in successfully completing the tests to the highest standards.

When can I receive my insignia?

The insignia is issued after successfully completing the required number of types of tests within your age level. Submission of insignia for awarding is organized based on the results of each calendar quarter by the testing center, followed by an order from the regional executive body in the FCC region. The procedure for processing documents and producing signs takes 4-6 months, and therefore there are 2 sessions for presenting signs. According to the results:

— autumn-winter period;

- spring-summer period.

What can I do now to successfully meet the standards of the GTO complex?

1. Lead a healthy lifestyle (exercise, exercise, nutrition).

2. Attend physical education classes (for students of all forms of education), or gyms, fitness centers (for adults).
3. Create an individual schedule or plan for preparing for the tests that are part of the VFSK GTO. If you follow these recommendations, you can certainly count on success.

How do I get medical clearance?

Medical clearance for students can be obtained in a medical office in educational institutions (schools), or student clinics based on the results of an annual medical examination.

The adult population can obtain medical clearance in clinics at their place of residence, subject to systematic medical examination of the population.

If part of the tests was completed for a gold insignia, and the second for a silver one, what badge will I receive in the end?

The award of the insignia is carried out according to the “lower bar”. If at least one type of test was performed for a bronze badge, then a bronze badge will be awarded, despite the fact that all other tests were performed for “gold” or “silver”.

Is it possible to retake tests during one stage?

If you were unable to meet the required minimum, you will have the opportunity to retake the standards - for students after one academic year, for adults - after one calendar year.

If you were unable to fulfill the standard, then you have the opportunity to retake it two more times, but not earlier than after two weeks.

Why do you need to register on the site? gto.ru ?
