Policy

Many of the points in his open letter clearly irritated the non-systemic opposition:

“I supervised two election races on the TV channel. The Moscow mayoral elections in 2013 and the Moscow City Duma elections in 2014. Both took place, in my opinion, without serious violations. The task of the Moscow media was to provide information support to the right candidates.”, writes Valeev.

Scientific work

2007 - digital radio broadcasting project at frequencies below 30 MHz DRM (digital radio worldwide), development of a receiver - set-top box based on a superheterodyne.

Since 2007, he has been dealing with the problems of the technical transition to digital television and radio broadcasting in the Russian Federation.

Former TV journalist "Moscow 24" Timur Valeev, who left the channel due to political differences, never found support in the liberal environment.

Let us remind you that Valeev published an open letter, in which he announced that he had left the Moscow TV channel and was going to work as the head of the “Open Elections” project in Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s “Open Russia”.

It also turned out that Valeev got into Open Russia after an interview with Khodorkovsky’s young protégé, Masha Baronova.

“We all also have terrible arguments against each other about who worked for whom. Yes, Timur, a swamp worker, hooked me at the interview with this very phrase. This is what I liked the most. And I have the right to this. As a person who spent a lot of money, a little health and much less time than other swampers", - Baronova stated in her defense on her Facebook.

However, this did not help Valeev.

Many of the points in his open letter clearly irritated the non-systemic opposition:

“I supervised two election races on the TV channel. Moscow mayoral elections in 2013 and Moscow City Duma elections in 2014. Both passed, in my opinion, without serious violations. The task of the Moscow media was to provide information support to the right candidates.”, writes Valeev.

Valeev also walked through the TV debates in which Alexei Navalny participated:

“It was a complete fiasco. The candidates were so boring, uninteresting and toothless that the debate didn't attract anywhere near the share of the audience everyone was hoping for. For the first time, all of them, including Navalny, had the opportunity to say everything live on a citywide TV channel... Nothing interesting was said.”.

These quotes provoked Navalny to make a number of mocking comments.

In his opinion, the “defector” Valeev must be removed from Open Russia:

“Let them remove it, or then let them take Tina Kandelaki and the “corps of observers””, - suggested Navalny.

“Intellectual Timur Valeev will work with adequate representatives. And we'll live. Khodorkovsky now has Valeev. No worse than Lesya", - ex-member of the Constitutional Court of the opposition Olga Romanova sarcastically commented on the news.

Another member of Navalny’s team, Oleg Kozlovsky, reacted more broadly:

“Timur, are you aware that many of those who are now discussing your appointment were engaged in observation, were members of election commissions and/or were nominated for elections long before you paid attention to this topic? Do you even know who you are going to work with? While with your first steps you are greatly complicating your task, turning the observation movement against yourself (I hope you have at least heard about its existence). I, of course, wish the Open Elections project success, but for this I strongly advise you, at a minimum, to put aside arrogance and study, study, study.”

And liberal journalist Oleg Kozyrev reproached Khodorkovsky himself:

“I’m glad that Timur Valeev realized a lot. But I think it’s a mistake that Khodorkovsky surrounds himself with people without convictions.”, he wrote on his Twitter account.

PS. I forgot, you bastard, that traitors and defectors are despised everywhere, even in the camp of the enemy...
