Which country does Alexander Usik represent? Usik continues to argue with Ukrainian radicals. Amateur career of Alexander Usik

Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik has fans in all corners of the planet. He trains hard to remain a winner.

Childhood and youth

The story of the future athlete began on January 17, 1987 in Simferopol. There he went to secondary school No. 34. In his youth, he was fond of folk dancing, judo and football. Alexander was a member of the youth team of the Tavriya football team, but the guy’s football career did not take off.

He soon became interested in boxing. I came to my first lesson at the age of 15. Initially, Sergei Lapin became the mentor of young Sasha. He also trained his own son, who became the champion of Ukraine.

Oleksandr Usik recalled that at the first training session he got a lot of trouble. After that, he got angry and hung out in the hall from three in the afternoon until seven in the evening. The guys I knew made fun of the young man, but “hanging out” with the pear gave results.

Alexander graduated from Lviv State University of Physical Culture.

Boxing

Serious successes in the career biography of the aspiring boxer emerged when the young man turned 19 years old. Then he performed for the first time in the Ukrainian championship. Usik emerged victorious from his debut match, after which the young man was called to the national team.

In the team competition, Alexander was number two. He went to a competition in Italy, where he entered the ring instead of Denis Poyatsyk. Previously, Denis was injured and dropped out of the competition.

Alexander defeated an enemy superior to him in strength. So he got the chance to go to the 2008 Olympic Games. However, Sasha did not achieve prizes at the competitions in Beijing. In the same year, Anatoly Lomachenko became the fighter’s mentor. Under the leadership of Anatoly, Alexander was defeated only once.

In 2011, Usik started at the world championship. Having snatched the lead from serious opponents, Alexander again got the chance to show himself at the Olympics. And here he did not disappoint. The boxer reached the finish line and won against Clemente Russo. To celebrate, the young man danced the hopak right in the ring.

The Olympic victory was overshadowed by the sudden death of his father. Before the tragic event, the young boxer planned to switch to professional boxing and fly to the USA, but could not leave his family. As a result, he began to successfully cooperate with the Ukrainian Atamans.

In 2013, Alexander Usik retrained as a professional. The guy received offers from companies in different countries, but he chose the company of the Klitschko brothers and the company of Vladimir and Vitaly - K2 Promotions. James Ali Bashir was appointed Sasha's coach. The mentor himself stated that for the sake of cooperation with the young champion, he was ready to move not only to Ukraine, but also to the Moon.

In the debut battle for the company, Usyk defeated Mexican champion Felipe Romero. The fight ended in a knockout. More triumphs followed.

On October 4, 2014, Alexander spoke out against Daniel Brewer. In the 7th round the enemy was defeated. Oleksandr Usyk received the interim WBO Inter-Continental championship.

On December 13 of the same year, the guy defeated Dani Venter. And in the spring of 2015, the battle against Johnny Muller was interrupted by the judge, who saw that Usyk had inflicted serious injuries on Venter.

On December 12, 2015, Oleksandr Usyk achieved the full intercontinental championship, leading in a fight with Pedro Rodriguez.

A year later - on September 17, 2016 - two of the strongest fighters collided: Alexander Usyk and Krzysztof Glowacki. The grueling fight lasted 12 rounds. As a result, the judges unanimously gave victory to the athlete from Ukraine. Alexander received the title of world leader in the first heavyweight division. This fight was Sasha’s tenth. As a result, he set a new record, breaking the success of Evander Holyfield, who at one time received the championship in the twelfth battle.

In the spring of 2017, Usik fought with Michael Hunter. Alexander won this fight. He confirmed his championship title.

On September 9, 2017, Marco Huck acted as Alexander’s opponent. In the 10th round, Usik knocked down the German fighter. Hook did not win the WBO world championship belt, and Sasha reached the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series.

Personal life

Alexander has known his future wife since school. It was then that the couple's relationship began. The chosen one's name is Ekaterina. She studied in Sasha's parallel class. After finishing school, the young people moved in together, and in 2009 they legalized their relationship.

Katya gave her beloved man three children: sons Kirill and Misha and daughter Lisa. The athlete has repeatedly stated that he wants another son.

Alexander does not show off his personal life. The young man has a page on Instagram, where he shares photos from training and fights with subscribers. Usyk rarely posts pictures with his wife and children.

In his free time he likes to watch football. He is a fan of Tavria.

On January 27, 2018, a fight took place between Alexander Usik and Mairis Briedis. The battle turned out to be interesting and lasted 12 rounds. As a result, the judges preferred Alexander by a slight margin.

The boxer won two championship belts, WBO and WBC, and reached the final of the World Boxing Super Series.

In July 2018, the final match of the tournament took place between Alexander Usik and Murat Gassiev. Usik won and became the absolute world champion in the first heavyweight version of WBA super, WBC, IBF, WBO and vacant The ring titles, linear champion, champion according to TBRB (English), and also won the exclusive Muhammad Ali Cup and a cash prize of $10 million.

Shortly after the fight with Gassiev, Usik was awarded the title of super champion according to the WBO version and this gave him the right to fight the champion according to the version in a higher category. Usyk expressed a desire to fight with Briton Tony Bellew. The fight with Tony Bellew took place on November 10, 2018 in London. In the eighth round, Bellew was knocked out and the referee stopped the fight. Usyk won and defended his WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO titles. Article found on 24smi.org

Ukrainian professional boxer.
Absolute Champion, World Champion according to IBF, WBA, WBO, WBC.
Winner of the Muhammad Ali Prize for the best Crusader in the World and The Ring title.

Alexander Usik was born on January 17, 1987 in Simferopol, Ukraine. As a child, he was involved in folk dancing, judo and football. He played for the Tavriya youth team as a left midfielder. Usik joined the boxing section at the age of fifteen. Trained under the guidance of coach Sergei Lapin.

In 2008, Usik began training with the father of his friend and future godfather Vasily Lomachenko, Anatoly Lomachenko, under whose leadership he lost only one fight in the amateurs - at the 2009 World Championships, where he lost to Russian Egor Mekhontsev in the semi-finals.

The first serious success was the victory at the 2011 World Championships, where Usik defeated the Bulgarian Terlev Pulev, the Russian Artur Berterbiev, the Belarusian Sergei Korneev, and in the final fight the Azerbaijani Timur Mammadov.

Usik went to the Olympic Games in London as the captain of the team and one of the main favorites of the Games, which he confirmed by winning in turn against the same Artur Beterbiev and Tervel Pulev, and in the final fight defeating the Italian boxer Clemente Russo 14:11. After the fight, Alexander, who became famous, performed the hopak in the ring for the first time.

The triumph of the Olympics was overshadowed by the death of his father, Alexander Usik Sr., who died of a heart attack without waiting for his son to return after the Olympic Games. Perhaps the death of his father became one of the factors in the continuation of Usik’s career - he no longer saw himself in amateur boxing, to succeed as a professional he had to go to America, and he could not leave his family. As a result, Usik signed a contract with the Ukrainian Atamans team created by the World Series of Boxing, for whom he made his debut on January 11 in Kyiv with a victory over the British Fa.

Usik’s performance in the WSB project was very successful: Alexander defeated all six of his opponents, including German Eric Brechlin, British Joseph Joyce, Italian Matteo Modugno and Romanian Mihai Nistor.

In 2013, Alexander Usik retrained as a professional. The guy received offers from companies in different countries, but he chose the company of the Klitschko brothers and the company of Vladimir and Vitaly - K2 Promotions. James Ali Bashir was appointed Sasha's coach. The mentor himself said that for the sake of cooperation with the young champion he was ready to move not only to Ukraine, but also to the Moon. In the debut battle for the company, Usyk defeated Mexican champion Felipe Romero. The fight ended in a knockout. More triumphs followed.

From October 2014 to December 2015, Alexander won and defended the WBO title, defeating famous opponents: Daniel Brewer, South African Dani Venter, Russian boxer Andrey Knyazev, Johnny Muller, Pedro Rodriguez. In March 2016, it was announced that during one of the sparring sessions during preparation for the fight against the British Stephen Simmons, Alexander suffered a leg injury. The fight scheduled for April 23, 2016 was cancelled.

After recovery, Alexander decides to fight for the title of World Champion, which took place on September 17, 2016. The Ukrainian hero met with the world champion in the 1st heavyweight according to the WBO, the undefeated Pole Krzysztof Glowacki. For most of the fight, Glowacki moved forward, trying to put pressure on the challenger. Usik worked on counterattacks and tried not to get involved in the “chopping block”. The Pole increased the pace of the fight from round to round, but was unable to catch and lock his opponent against the ropes. The Ukrainian athlete met his opponent well with a jab, and avoided the champion’s attacks on his feet. Overall, Usyk was noticeably faster and more accurate. The fight lasted all 12 rounds. The judges unanimously gave the victory to Alexander. Official scores: 119-109 and 117-111.

From December 2016 to April 2017, Usyk successfully defended his Title twice, defeating South African Thabiso Mchunu and American Michael Hunter.

In Odessa, on August 26, 2017, the third defense of Alexander Usik’s title was planned, but soon information appeared about the establishment of a unique tournament in the first heavyweight division of the World Boxing Super Series. Usik’s team gave preference to the tournament. Applications for participation in which, in addition to Usik, were submitted by three more current world champions: Murat Gassiev, Mairis Briedis, Yunier Dorticos and other top boxers in the division.

In September 2017, the quarterfinal match of the World Boxing Super Series tournament took place in Berlin, in which Alexander Usik met with the ex-world champion, the eminent German of Bosnian origin, Marco Huck. From the first rounds, Oleksandr Usyk controlled the course of the fight, regularly disturbing Marco Huck with deuces, but he showed good resilience and held all the missed blows, counterattacking dangerously. And yet Usyk was much faster, more technical, winning round after round. Hook had no choice but to box dirty, but Usik, who covered the back of his head during clinches, was ready for this, and the referee, who warned Hook more than once, once deducted a point from him for hitting the back of the head of Usik who slipped at 8 -th round. In the last rounds, Alexander's advantage was undeniable, and it all ended in the tenth round, when, after a long attack by Usik, during which Hook stood at the ropes and took blows, the fight was stopped by the referee. Result: victory of Alexander Usik by technical knockout in the tenth round. Thus, Alexander Usik retained his WBO world champion belt and reached the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series.

The fight between Alexander and Mairis Briedis took place on January 27, 2018. The battle turned out to be interesting and lasted 12 rounds. As a result, the judges preferred Alexander by a slight margin. The boxer won two championship belts, WBO and WBC, and reached the final.

The official fight between Alexander Usik and Murat Gassiev took place on Saturday evening, July 21, 2018 at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow. The fight lasted all 12 rounds with a variable advantage. The Ukrainian athlete attacked more often; his extensive experience showed in the professional fight. In the Championship fight, Alexander Usyk won by decision of the judges, becoming the absolute world champion in the first heavyweight version of WBA super, WBC, IBF, WBO and vacant The Ring titles, linear champion, champion according to TBRB, and also won the Muhammad Ali Cup and a cash prize in the amount of 10 million dollars.

In Manchester, England, on November 11, 2018, a fight for the world title took place according to versions: WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO. Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik defended his title of absolute world champion in a duel with Briton Tony Bellewon, winning by knockout in the eighth round.

WBC Management June 5, 2019 deprived Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik of the world title in the first heavyweight division. The athlete is officially declared a “champion on vacation.” If he returns to the first heavyweight division, the Ukrainian will be able to immediately claim the title by meeting its owner. “At the very first training I got it in full. This hurt me. I had to study twice as hard. I arrived at three and left at seven. The first successes appeared, and I fell in love with this business. Many guys laughed at my “hanging out” in the hall. But he who laughs last laughs,” notes Usyk.

Professional boxing

Alexander Usik decided to turn professional and sign a contract with the Klitschko brothers’ company K2 Promotions. Usik considered various offers from promoters, was in negotiations in England and the USA, but in the end settled on the option with K2 Promotions. Last but not least, the choice was influenced by the fact that Usik would not need to leave Ukraine for a long time.

On April 18, 2015, Usik defeated the Russian boxer Andrey Knyazev by technical knockout in Kyiv and defended the regional WBO title.

On August 29, 2015, Usik’s opponent became another South African, Johnny Muller. In the first round, the Ukrainian indicated his advantage in choosing a position and, having captured the center of the ring, began to fight with the help of a jab. The 24-year-old guest from South Africa tried to respond with the same jabs, but the Ukrainian avoided them. True, in the second three-minute period he still missed the right straight forward. As a result, the fight was stopped by the referee when it became clear that Muller was too badly damaged.

On December 12, 2015, Alexander Usik defended the WBO. In this fight, Usik won his ninth victory in the pro ring. Everything is a knockout. And Rodriguez suffered the second defeat in his career.

On March 30, 2016, it became known that during one of the sparring sessions during preparation for the fight against the British Stephen Simmons (English)Russian Alexander received a leg injury. The fight scheduled for April 23, 2016 has been cancelled.

Official score: 119-109 and 117-111 (twice). Usik broke the record of the American Evander Holyfield, becoming the world champion in the 1st heavyweight in his 10th fight in the professional ring (Holyfield became the champion in 1986 in his 12th fight).

Excerpt characterizing Usik, Alexander Alexandrovich

“How good the old man was,” said the countess, “even last year!” I have never seen a more beautiful man.
“Now he’s changed a lot,” said Anna Mikhailovna. “So I wanted to say,” she continued, “through his wife, Prince Vasily is the direct heir to the entire estate, but his father loved Pierre very much, was involved in his upbringing and wrote to the sovereign... so no one knows if he dies (he is so bad that they are waiting for it) every minute, and Lorrain came from St. Petersburg), who will get this huge fortune, Pierre or Prince Vasily. Forty thousand souls and millions. I know this very well, because Prince Vasily himself told me this. And Kirill Vladimirovich is my second cousin on my mother’s side. “He baptized Borya,” she added, as if not attributing any significance to this circumstance.
– Prince Vasily arrived in Moscow yesterday. He’s going for an inspection, they told me,” the guest said.
“Yes, but, entre nous, [between us],” said the princess, “this is an excuse, he actually came to Count Kirill Vladimirovich, having learned that he was so bad.”
“However, ma chere, this is a nice thing,” said the count and, noticing that the eldest guest was not listening to him, he turned to the young ladies. – The policeman had a good figure, I imagine.
And he, imagining how the policeman waved his arms, laughed again with a sonorous and bassy laugh that shook his entire plump body, as people laugh who have always eaten well and especially drunk. “So, please, come and have dinner with us,” he said.

There was silence. The Countess looked at the guest, smiling pleasantly, however, without hiding the fact that she would not be at all upset now if the guest got up and left. The guest's daughter was already straightening her dress, looking questioningly at her mother, when suddenly from the next room several men's and women's feet were heard running towards the door, the crash of a chair being snagged and knocked over, and a thirteen-year-old girl ran into the room, wrapping something in her short muslin skirt, and stopped in the middle rooms. It was obvious that she accidentally, with an uncalculated run, ran so far. At the same moment a student with a crimson collar, a guards officer, a fifteen-year-old girl and a fat, ruddy boy in a children's jacket appeared at the door.
The count jumped up and, swaying, spread his arms wide around the running girl.
- Oh, here she is! – he shouted laughing. - Birthday girl! Ma chere, birthday girl!
“Ma chere, il y a un temps pour tout, [Darling, there is time for everything,” said the countess, pretending to be stern. “You keep spoiling her, Elie,” she added to her husband.
“Bonjour, ma chere, je vous felicite, [Hello, my dear, I congratulate you,” said the guest. – Quelle delicuse enfant! “What a lovely child!” she added, turning to her mother.
A dark-eyed, big-mouthed, ugly, but lively girl, with her childish open shoulders, which, shrinking, moved in her bodice from fast running, with her black curls bunched back, thin bare arms and small legs in lace pantaloons and open shoes, I was at that sweet age when a girl is no longer a child, and a child is not yet a girl. Turning away from her father, she ran up to her mother and, not paying any attention to her stern remark, hid her flushed face in the lace of her mother’s mantilla and laughed. She was laughing at something, talking abruptly about a doll that she had taken out from under her skirt.
– See?... Doll... Mimi... See.
And Natasha could no longer speak (everything seemed funny to her). She fell on top of her mother and laughed so loudly and loudly that everyone, even the prim guest, laughed against their will.
- Well, go, go with your freak! - said the mother, feigning angrily pushing her daughter away. “This is my youngest,” she turned to the guest.
Natasha, taking her face away from her mother’s lace scarf for a minute, looked at her from below through tears of laughter and hid her face again.
The guest, forced to admire the family scene, considered it necessary to take some part in it.
“Tell me, my dear,” she said, turning to Natasha, “how do you feel about this Mimi?” Daughter, right?
Natasha did not like the tone of condescension to childish conversation with which the guest addressed her. She did not answer and looked at her guest seriously.
Meanwhile, all this young generation: Boris - an officer, the son of Princess Anna Mikhailovna, Nikolai - a student, the eldest son of the count, Sonya - the count's fifteen-year-old niece, and little Petrusha - the youngest son, all settled in the living room and, apparently, tried to keep within the boundaries of decency the animation and gaiety that still breathed from every feature of them. It was clear that there, in the back rooms, from where they all ran so quickly, they were having more fun conversations than here about city gossip, the weather and Comtesse Apraksine. [about Countess Apraksina.] Occasionally they glanced at each other and could hardly restrain themselves from laughing.
Two young men, a student and an officer, friends since childhood, were the same age and both were handsome, but did not look alike. Boris was a tall, fair-haired young man with regular, delicate features of a calm and handsome face; Nikolai was a short, curly-haired young man with an open expression on his face. Black hairs were already showing on his upper lip, and his whole face expressed impetuosity and enthusiasm.
Nikolai blushed as soon as he entered the living room. It was clear that he was searching and could not find anything to say; Boris, on the contrary, immediately found himself and told him calmly, jokingly, how he had known this Mimi doll as a young girl with an undamaged nose, how she had grown old in his memory at the age of five and how her head was cracked all over her skull. Having said this, he looked at Natasha. Natasha turned away from him, looked at her younger brother, who, with his eyes closed, was shaking with silent laughter, and, unable to hold on any longer, jumped and ran out of the room as quickly as her fast legs could carry her. Boris didn't laugh.
- You seemed to want to go too, maman? Do you need a carriage? – he said, turning to his mother with a smile.
“Yes, go, go, tell me to cook,” she said, pouring out.
Boris quietly walked out the door and followed Natasha, the fat boy angrily ran after them, as if annoyed at the frustration that had occurred in his studies.

Of the young people, not counting the countess's eldest daughter (who was four years older than her sister and already behaved like a grown-up) and the young lady's guest, Nikolai and Sonya's niece remained in the living room. Sonya was a thin, petite brunette with a soft gaze, shaded by long eyelashes, a thick black braid that wrapped around her head twice, and a yellowish tint to the skin on her face and especially on her bare, thin, but graceful, muscular arms and neck. With the smoothness of her movements, the softness and flexibility of her small limbs, and her somewhat cunning and reserved manner, she resembled a beautiful, but not yet fully formed kitten, which would become a lovely little cat. She apparently considered it decent to show participation in the general conversation with a smile; but against her will, from under her long thick eyelashes, she looked at her cousin [cousin] who was leaving for the army with such girlish passionate adoration that her smile could not deceive anyone for a moment, and it was clear that the cat sat down only to jump more energetically and play with your sauce as soon as they, like Boris and Natasha, get out of this living room.
“Yes, ma chere,” said the old count, turning to his guest and pointing to his Nicholas. - His friend Boris was promoted to officer, and out of friendship he does not want to lag behind him; he leaves both the university and me as an old man: he goes into military service, ma chere. And his place in the archive was ready, and that was it. Is that friendship? - said the count questioningly.
“But they say war has been declared,” said the guest.
“They’ve been saying this for a long time,” said the count. “They’ll talk and talk again and leave it at that.” Ma chere, that’s friendship! - he repeated. - He is going to the hussars.
The guest, not knowing what to say, shook her head.
“Not out of friendship at all,” answered Nikolai, flushing and making excuses as if from a shameful slander against him. – Not friendship at all, but I just feel a calling to military service.
He looked back at his cousin and the guest young lady: both looked at him with a smile of approval.
“Today, Schubert, colonel of the Pavlograd Hussar Regiment, is dining with us. He was on vacation here and takes it with him. What to do? - said the count, shrugging his shoulders and speaking jokingly about the matter, which apparently cost him a lot of grief.
“I already told you, daddy,” said the son, “that if you don’t want to let me go, I’ll stay.” But I know that I am not fit for anything except military service; “I’m not a diplomat, not an official, I don’t know how to hide what I feel,” he said, still looking with the coquetry of beautiful youth at Sonya and the guest young lady.
The cat, glaring at him with her eyes, seemed every second ready to play and show all her cat nature.
- Well, well, okay! - said the old count, - everything is getting hot. Bonaparte turned everyone's heads; everyone thinks how he got from lieutenant to emperor. Well, God willing,” he added, not noticing the guest’s mocking smile.
The big ones started talking about Bonaparte. Julie, Karagina’s daughter, turned to young Rostov:
– What a pity that you weren’t at the Arkharovs’ on Thursday. “I was bored without you,” she said, smiling tenderly at him.
The flattered young man with a flirtatious smile of youth moved closer to her and entered into a separate conversation with the smiling Julie, not noticing at all that this involuntary smile of his was cutting the heart of the blushing and feignedly smiling Sonya with a knife of jealousy. “In the middle of the conversation, he looked back at her. Sonya looked at him passionately and embitteredly and, barely holding back the tears in her eyes and a feigned smile on her lips, she stood up and left the room. All Nikolai's animation disappeared. He waited for the first break in the conversation and with an upset face left the room to look for Sonya.
– How the secrets of all these young people are sewn with white thread! - said Anna Mikhailovna, pointing to Nikolai coming out. “Cousinage dangereux voisinage,” she added.
“Yes,” said the countess, after the ray of sunshine that had penetrated into the living room with this young generation had disappeared, and as if answering a question that no one had asked her, but which constantly occupied her. - How much suffering, how much anxiety has been endured in order to now rejoice in them! And now, really, there is more fear than joy. You're still afraid, you're still afraid! This is precisely the age at which there are so many dangers for both girls and boys.
“Everything depends on upbringing,” said the guest.
“Yes, your truth,” continued the Countess. “Until now, thank God, I have been a friend of my children and enjoy their complete trust,” said the countess, repeating the misconception of many parents who believe that their children have no secrets from them. “I know that I will always be the first confidente [confidant] of my daughters, and that Nikolenka, due to her ardent character, if she plays naughty (a boy cannot live without this), then everything is not like these St. Petersburg gentlemen.
“Yes, nice, nice guys,” confirmed the count, who always resolved issues that confused him by finding everything nice. - Come on, I want to become a hussar! Yes, that's what you want, ma chere!
“What a sweet creature your little one is,” said the guest. - Gunpowder!
“Yes, gunpowder,” said the count. - It hit me! And what a voice: even though it’s my daughter, I’ll tell the truth, she will be a singer, Salomoni is different. We hired an Italian to teach her.
- Is not it too early? They say it is harmful for your voice to study at this time.
- Oh, no, it’s so early! - said the count. - How did our mothers get married at twelve thirteen?
- She’s already in love with Boris! What? - said the countess, smiling quietly, looking at Boris’s mother, and, apparently answering the thought that had always occupied her, she continued. - Well, you see, if I had kept her strictly, I would have forbidden her... God knows what they would have done on the sly (the countess meant: they would have kissed), and now I know every word she says. She will come running in the evening and tell me everything. Maybe I'm spoiling her; but, really, this seems to be better. I kept the eldest strictly.
“Yes, I was brought up completely differently,” said the eldest, beautiful Countess Vera, smiling.
But a smile did not grace Vera’s face, as usually happens; on the contrary, her face became unnatural and therefore unpleasant.
The eldest, Vera, was good, she was not stupid, she studied well, she was well brought up, her voice was pleasant, what she said was fair and appropriate; but, strangely, everyone, both the guest and the countess, looked back at her, as if they were surprised why she said this, and felt awkward.
“They always play tricks with older children, they want to do something extraordinary,” said the guest.
- To be honest, ma chere! The Countess was playing tricks with Vera,” said the Count. - Well, oh well! Still, she turned out nice,” he added, winking approvingly at Vera.
The guests got up and left, promising to come for dinner.
- What a manner! They were already sitting, sitting! - said the countess, ushering the guests out.

When Natasha left the living room and ran, she only reached the flower shop. She stopped in this room, listening to the conversation in the living room and waiting for Boris to come out. She was already beginning to get impatient and, stamping her foot, was about to cry because he was not walking now, when she heard the quiet, not fast, decent steps of a young man.
Natasha quickly rushed between the flower pots and hid.
Boris stopped in the middle of the room, looked around, brushed specks from his uniform sleeve with his hand and walked up to the mirror, examining his handsome face. Natasha, having become quiet, looked out from her ambush, waiting for what he would do. He stood in front of the mirror for a while, smiled and went to the exit door. Natasha wanted to call out to him, but then changed her mind. “Let him search,” she told herself. Boris had just left when a flushed Sonya emerged from another door, whispering something angrily through her tears. Natasha restrained herself from her first move to run out to her and remained in her ambush, as if under an invisible cap, looking out for what was happening in the world. She experienced a special new pleasure. Sonya whispered something and looked back at the living room door. Nikolai came out of the door.
- Sonya! What happened to you? Is this possible? - Nikolai said, running up to her.
- Nothing, nothing, leave me! – Sonya began to sob.
- No, I know what.
- Well, you know, that’s great, and go to her.
- Sooo! One word! Is it possible to torture me and yourself like this because of a fantasy? - Nikolai said, taking her hand.
Sonya did not pull his hands away and stopped crying.
Natasha, without moving or breathing, looked out from her ambush with shining heads. "What will happen now"? she thought.
- Sonya! I don't need the whole world! “You alone are everything to me,” Nikolai said. - I'll prove it to you.
“I don’t like it when you talk like that.”
- Well, I won’t, I’m sorry, Sonya! “He pulled her towards him and kissed her.
“Oh, how good!” thought Natasha, and when Sonya and Nikolai left the room, she followed them and called Boris to her.
“Boris, come here,” she said with a significant and cunning look. – I need to tell you one thing. Here, here,” she said and led him into the flower shop to the place between the tubs where she was hidden. Boris, smiling, followed her.
– What is this one thing? - he asked.
She was embarrassed, looked around her and, seeing her doll abandoned on the tub, took it in her hands.
“Kiss the doll,” she said.
Boris looked into her lively face with an attentive, affectionate gaze and did not answer.
- You do not want? Well, come here,” she said and went deeper into the flowers and threw the doll. - Closer, closer! - she whispered. She caught the officer's cuffs with her hands, and solemnity and fear were visible in her reddened face.
- Do you want to kiss me? – she whispered barely audibly, looking at him from under her brows, smiling and almost crying with excitement.
Boris blushed.
- How funny you are! - he said, bending over to her, blushing even more, but doing nothing and waiting.
She suddenly jumped up on the tub so that she stood taller than him, hugged him with both arms so that her thin bare arms bent above his neck and, moving her hair back with a movement of her head, kissed him right on the lips.
She slipped between the pots to the other side of the flowers and, lowering her head, stopped.
“Natasha,” he said, “you know that I love you, but...
-Are you in love with me? – Natasha interrupted him.
- Yes, I’m in love, but please, let’s not do what we’re doing now... Four more years... Then I’ll ask for your hand.
Natasha thought.
“Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen...” she said, counting with her thin fingers. - Fine! So it's over?
And a smile of joy and peace lit up her lively face.
- It's over! - said Boris.
- Forever? - said the girl. - Until death?
And, taking his arm, with a happy face, she quietly walked next to him into the sofa.

The countess was so tired of the visits that she did not order to receive anyone else, and the doorman was only ordered to invite everyone who would still come with congratulations to eat. The Countess wanted to talk privately with her childhood friend, Princess Anna Mikhailovna, whom she had not seen well since her arrival from St. Petersburg. Anna Mikhailovna, with her tear-stained and pleasant face, moved closer to the countess’s chair.
“I’ll be completely frank with you,” said Anna Mikhailovna. – There are very few of us left, old friends! This is why I value your friendship so much.
Anna Mikhailovna looked at Vera and stopped. The Countess shook hands with her friend.
“Vera,” said the countess, addressing her eldest daughter, obviously unloved. - How come you have no idea about anything? Don't you feel like you're out of place here? Go to your sisters, or...
Beautiful Vera smiled contemptuously, apparently not feeling the slightest insult.
“If you had told me long ago, mamma, I would have left immediately,” she said, and went to her room.
But, passing by the sofa, she noticed that there were two couples sitting symmetrically at two windows. She stopped and smiled contemptuously. Sonya sat close to Nikolai, who was copying out poems for her that he had written for the first time. Boris and Natasha were sitting at another window and fell silent when Vera entered. Sonya and Natasha looked at Vera with guilty and happy faces.
It was fun and touching to look at these girls in love, but the sight of them, obviously, did not arouse a pleasant feeling in Vera.
“How many times have I asked you,” she said, “not to take my things, you have your own room.”
She took the inkwell from Nikolai.
“Now, now,” he said, wetting his pen.
“You know how to do everything at the wrong time,” said Vera. “Then they ran into the living room, so everyone felt ashamed of you.”
Despite the fact that, or precisely because, what she said was completely fair, no one answered her, and all four only looked at each other. She lingered in the room with the inkwell in her hand.
- And what secrets could there be at your age between Natasha and Boris and between you - they’re all just nonsense!
- Well, what do you care, Vera? – Natasha said intercedingly in a quiet voice.
She, apparently, was even more kind and affectionate to everyone than always that day.
“Very stupid,” said Vera, “I’m ashamed of you.” What are the secrets?...
- Everyone has their own secrets. We won’t touch you and Berg,” Natasha said, getting excited.
“I think you won’t touch me,” said Vera, “because there can never be anything bad in my actions.” But I’ll tell mommy how you treat Boris.
“Natalya Ilyinishna treats me very well,” said Boris. “I can't complain,” he said.
- Leave it, Boris, you are such a diplomat (the word diplomat was in great use among children in the special meaning that they attached to this word); It’s even boring,” Natasha said in an offended, trembling voice. - Why is she pestering me? You will never understand this,” she said, turning to Vera, “because you have never loved anyone; you have no heart, you are only madame de Genlis [Madame Genlis] (this nickname, considered very offensive, was given to Vera by Nikolai), and your first pleasure is to cause trouble for others. “You flirt with Berg as much as you want,” she said quickly.
- Yes, I certainly won’t start chasing a young man in front of guests...
“Well, she achieved her goal,” Nikolai intervened, “she said unpleasant things to everyone, upset everyone.” Let's go to the nursery.
All four, like a frightened flock of birds, got up and left the room.
“They told me some troubles, but I didn’t mean anything to anyone,” said Vera.
- Madame de Genlis! Madame de Genlis! - Laughing voices said from behind the door.
Beautiful Vera, who had such an irritating, unpleasant effect on everyone, smiled and, apparently unaffected by what was said to her, went to the mirror and straightened her scarf and hairstyle. Looking at her beautiful face, she apparently became even colder and calmer.

The conversation continued in the living room.
- Ah! chere,” said the countess, “and in my life tout n”est pas rose. Don’t I see that du train, que nous allons, [not everything is roses. - given our way of life,] our condition will not last long for us! And "It's all a club, and its kindness. We live in the village, do we really relax? Theatres, hunting and God knows what. But what can I say about me! Well, how did you arrange all this? I'm often surprised at you, Annette, how it's possible You, at your age, ride alone in a carriage, to Moscow, to St. Petersburg, to all the ministers, to all the nobility, you know how to get along with everyone, I’m surprised! Well, how did this work out? I don’t know how to do any of this.
- Oh, my soul! - answered Princess Anna Mikhailovna. “God forbid you know how hard it is to remain a widow without support and with a son whom you love to the point of adoration.” “You’ll learn everything,” she continued with some pride. – My process taught me. If I need to see one of these aces, I write a note: “princesse une telle [princess so-and-so] wants to see so-and-so,” and I drive myself in a cab at least two, at least three times, at least four times, until I achieve what I need. I don't care what anyone thinks of me.
- Well, well, who did you ask about Borenka? – asked the Countess. - After all, yours is already a guard officer, and Nikolushka is a cadet. There is no one to bother. Who did you ask?
- Prince Vasily. He was very nice. Now I agreed to everything, reported to the sovereign,” Princess Anna Mikhailovna said with delight, completely forgetting all the humiliation she went through to achieve her goal.
- That he has aged, Prince Vasily? – asked the Countess. – I haven’t seen him since our theaters at the Rumyantsevs’. And I think he forgot about me. “Il me faisait la cour, [He was trailing after me,” the countess recalled with a smile.
“Still the same,” answered Anna Mikhailovna, “kind, crumbling.” Les grandeurs ne lui ont pas touriene la tete du tout. [The high position did not turn his head at all.] “I regret that I can do too little for you, dear princess,” he tells me, “order.” No, he is a nice man and a wonderful family member. But you know, Nathalieie, my love for my son. I don't know what I wouldn't do to make him happy. “And my circumstances are so bad,” Anna Mikhailovna continued with sadness and lowering her voice, “so bad that I am now in the most terrible situation. My miserable process is eating up everything I have and is not moving. I don’t have, you can imagine, a la lettre [literally], I don’t have a dime of money, and I don’t know what to outfit Boris with. “She took out a handkerchief and began to cry. “I need five hundred rubles, but I have one twenty-five-ruble note.” I am in this position... My only hope now is Count Kirill Vladimirovich Bezukhov. If he does not want to support his godson - after all, he baptized Borya - and assign him something for his maintenance, then all my troubles will be lost: I will have nothing to outfit him with.
The Countess shed tears and silently thought about something.
“I often think, maybe this is a sin,” said the princess, “and I often think: Count Kirill Vladimirovich Bezukhoy lives alone... this is a huge fortune... and what does he live for? Life is a burden for him, but Borya is just beginning to live.
“He will probably leave something for Boris,” said the countess.
- God knows, chere amie! [dear friend!] These rich people and nobles are so selfish. But I’ll still go to him now with Boris and tell him straight out what’s going on. Let them think what they want about me, I really don’t care when my son’s fate depends on it. - The princess stood up. - Now it’s two o’clock, and at four o’clock you have lunch. I'll have time to go.
And with the techniques of a St. Petersburg business lady who knows how to use time, Anna Mikhailovna sent for her son and went out into the hall with him.

Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik has fans in all corners of the planet. He trains hard to remain a winner. The desire for success has reached its climax: on May 11, 2018, Usik will fight for the title of absolute world champion in the first heavyweight division.

The guys I knew made fun of the young man, but hanging out with the punching bag gave results.

Aspiring boxer Alexander Usik

As a result, he set a new record, breaking the success that at one time received the championship in the twelfth battle.

The young man has a page on "Instagram", where he shares photos from training and fights with subscribers. Usyk rarely posts pictures with his wife and children.

In his free time he likes to watch football. He is a fan of Tavria.

Alexander Usik now

On January 27, 2018, a fight took place between Alexander Usik and Mairis Briedis. The battle turned out to be interesting and lasted 12 rounds. As a result, the judges preferred Alexander by a slight margin.

The boxer won two championship belts, WBO and WBC, and reached the final of the World Boxing Super Series.

Now the athlete is preparing for a fight for the title of absolute world champion in the first heavyweight division. Alexander Usik will have a meeting with the Russian invincible.

The nationality of the fighters arouses particular interest in the battle. Russia versus Ukraine at a similar level - not only the sports public is intrigued. Bookmakers put 70% on Usik to win. In addition, Alexander Usik is one of the top five promising fighters on the planet.

The world boxing champion said that in the conflict over the Ukrainian church he would “take the side of his home, his faith”

The famous Ukrainian boxer commented on the aggressive statements addressed to him by radicals who were not happy with his desire to protect the monks of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra from attempts to seize this shrine. The monks of the Lavra refused to move to the Patriarchate of Constantinople, remained loyal to the Moscow Patriarchate and now fear revenge from Ukrainian nationalists. Crimea-born Usik, who has recently not been shy about expressing his position on many political issues, said that he would side with the monks, regardless of whether Kiev has a tomos of autocephaly or not.

In response, Ukrainian nationalists began to threaten the athlete, and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church awarded Usik the Order of St. Ilya Muromets, 1st degree.

You know that I have a lot of like-minded people,” said Tendril at the award ceremony. - Look, if someone says they want to hurt someone, you won’t defend the weak? Yes, this is what a sane person should do. This is fine. If you're walking down the street and you see someone hitting someone, you should stand up because it's indifference if you don't.

Why should some radically minded people go somewhere and take something? Where will the police be at this time? Where is the law anyway? Whose side will he be on? Naturally, I will take the side of my home, my faith, - quotes Mustache press service of the UOC. - Let's love, forgive and respect each other, and then everything will be fine with us.

Earlier, the leader of the Ukrainian Brotherhood party Dmitry Korchinsky threatened Mustache reprisal. “Ukrainian nationalists rarely go to boxing gyms, they often go to shooting ranges. I can tell you from my own experience: a bullet fired from a Kalashnikov assault rifle flies faster than the fist of any boxer,” Korchinsky wrote on social networks. “If he tries to wave his arms at street, it will end with a broken leg. This often happens to boxers."

Also, former fighter of the Donbass battalion Oleg Dub said that radicals can break through Mustache head if the boxer opposes them.

- Tendril declared that the Lavra should be protected from us?! He thinks that everything will be according to the rules, the judge, breaks between rounds, knockout countdown?! And here the champion can end up with a broken head. Well, how can you compete with the people, you idiot?! There, no one will throw a towel into the ring to save them,” Dub wrote on Facebook.

This summer, a 31-year-old native of Crimea renounced anti-Russian actions during a victorious fight in Moscow. For this, some Ukrainian radicals called Mustache"coward" and "collaborator of the Kremlin." Passions were also fueled by Alexander’s refusal to receive the title “Hero of Ukraine,” as well as his criticism of the social and religious policies of Kyiv. It got to the point that calls began to be made in Russia to give Alexander Russian citizenship, especially since he was born in Simferopol, and there are grounds for this.

If they offered me to change my citizenship, I would refuse,” the boxer retorted. - I'm Ukrainian. I have a country, I have a passport, a house, I have everything. I don’t need many passports, with the current one I can travel everywhere, and I do. Let the whole world offer me citizenship! I don't need any other passports except my own.
